Description

OVERVIEW

The ACiQ N80ESN0901714A is an inexpensive model of furnace to provide reasonable comfort to your home. At a basic efficiency, this furnace will heat your home adequately with the right output, providing comfort to your home even in the coldest parts of the year.

QUICK FACTS

  • 88,000 BTU, 80% AFUE natural gas furnace
  • Generally suitable for up to a medium-sized house in ideal applications
  • Multi-positional design - can be installed in the upflow, downflow, or horizontal orientations
  • Single stage burner with a multi-speed blower
  • Field-convertible to propane with an optional LP kit
  • On board self-diagnostics

88,000 BTU, 80% AFUE

The ACiQ N80ESN0901714A has an input of 88,000 BTU. With an efficiency of 80%, this means that the furnace has an output of 70,400 BTU. The 80% AFUE also means that for the gas going into the furnace, 80% of it is used to heat your home while the remaining 20% is lost out the flue piping and lost to normal furnace operations. All 80% furnaces require metal flue venting, and if you need it to be plastic/PVC venting a furnace with an efficiency of 90% or above is required. While this unit uses natural gas as fuel out of the box, we also have an LP conversion kit, available at an additional cost. Please note that this furnace is not Low NOx or Ultra Low NOx compliant and if shipped to California may be subject to a mitigation fee.

Warranty

ACiQ offers 10 year parts and 20 year heat exchanger limited warranties. Please note that in order for the heat exchanger and parts warranties to be upheld, the unit must be registered through the manufacturer within 90 days of installation. The installation must also follow your state and local codes.

Installation and Durability

With its ability to be installed in any configuration (upflow, downflow, or horizontal) the ACiQ N80ESN0901714A is very versatile in application potential. The unit has a durable outer casing that can withstand wear-and-tear through its entire lifetime, providing the peace of mind that your home will stay comfortable year-round. Please note that this furnace is not intended for mobile home installation on its own.

Questions and Answers

Customer Questions
Who makes ACiQ?
ACiQ air conditioning systems, standard heat pumps, and gas furnaces are manufactured by the largest HVAC manufacturer in America, who also happens to be the seller of the nation’s #1 brand. However, because our prices are SO LOW, they will not allow us to mention their name! They must protect their current market share where typical home systems retail between $15,000 to $25,000 for the identical equipment that we let you buy direct for under $3,000. We offer homeowners and contractors the highest quality and best warranty HVAC systems in the industry at the absolute lowest price. With our industry-leading, high-tech ACiQ equipment, your home and your savings just got a whole lot smarter!
What happens if this breaks down?
HVACDirect.com gives you lifetime tech support. Many common problems can be solved with a phone call to us. HVACDirect.com is an authorized dealer of ACiQ, therefore equipment we sell carries the full manufacturer's warranty. The warranty applies to all parts. You have to register the products online in order to extend the warranty to the full 10 years, otherwise the term is 5 years. If a part fails under warranty, you will not pay anything for the replacement part. Should a part fail under warranty, the first step is to have a professional confirm what part needs to be replaced. Then, contact us at customerservice@hvacdirect.com or by calling and asking for customer service.
What happens if it arrives damaged?
If you are present during drop-off and you see obvious signs of damage or rough handling in transit - please ask the driver to wait while you inspect the equipment. If it is damaged badly enough that you believe it can not function, you have the right to refuse the damaged portion of the shipment. If you discover the damage after the driver has left, take photos of the damage and send them to customerservice@hvacdirect.com. Please refer to your order number in the email. This starts the process and one of our representatives will be in touch with you promptly.
How can I find an installer?
It’s easier than you think – the key is to find an independent contractor or small company as opposed to a larger HVAC service. A one or two person outfit will do the work more quickly and cheaply than a bigger company, too. Yelp.com, Thumbtack.com, and Porch.com are websites are designed to help you connect with a professional in your area. You could also place a call to the last professional who did work on your home and see if they have any recommendations.
What's the warranty?
ACiQ’s 10 year Warranty (online registration required) is one of the top warranties available today.  Many of the higher-SEER units have even higher warranties and some of the higher efficient furnaces have longer heat exchanger warranties.
I'm looking to replace my Carrier unit and this ACiQ unit seems to have about the same specs - are they the same product?
ACiQ is made by the same company as Carrier as well as brands like Bryant, TempStar and ArcoAire. Many of the internal components can be cross referenced for shared parts. So, yes, apart from the name on the badge – very similar if not identical.
What size is flue pipe?
The flue size is 4". If you have any further questions, please call us and we will be happy to assist you.
Is this unit a natural gas appliance and if so do you send propane orifices so in can be used with propane?
Hello, yes this unit is natural gas. A propane conversion kit does not come included with the unit but it is an option extra that you can select on the product page. If you have any further questions please feel free to give us a call! Thank you.
Will the blower continue to run after reaching its set temperature?
The furnace will stop operating as soon as the set temperature is reached. If you have any further questions, please call us and we will be happy to assist you.
The furnace makes loud blowing sounds when it comes on for several minutes. How can I correct that loud noise?
The loud blowing noise can be a sign of either the furnace moving too much air all at once or that the ductwork isn't properly sized for its application. Fortunately, this furnace has a multi-speed blower that is capable of operating at different speeds. Adjusting this blower speed to a slower setting should be able to reduce the noise. If this does not work, please call in and ask for tech support. They will gladly help remedy your problem.
Can this furnace be used in a downflow operation?
Hi, yes this unit can be used in downflow, upflow, and horizontal configurations. If you have any further questions please feel free to give us a call! Thank you.
