48,000 BTU, 21 SEER

The 48,000 BTU, ACiQ-48Z-HH-M5 is designed to easily support up to 4 air handlers at up to 1.25 times the condenser BTU rating, or 60,000 BTU across all air handlers. This adaptive, inverter condenser is constantly self-adjusting to provide the precise amount of heating or cooling needed to maintain your desired temperature in each room or zone. You can set different temperatures room by room, even turn off heating and cooling in unused areas. This, combined with a high efficiency rating of 21 SEER, means you are buying a system designed to intelligently save you money both up front and over the lifetime of the unit.

IntelliHeat Base pan Heater Technology

The ACIQ-48Z-HH-M5B has integrated IntelliHeat technology to maximize heat performance in extreme cold weather. IntelliHeat is two technologies working together: Extended heat pump performance (hyper heat) and base pan heater technology. The extended heat pump performance harnesses the power of inverter condenser by using outdoor temp sensing, variable refrigerant flow and variable condenser fan speed to maximize heat extraction all the way down to -22. In addition, every ACIQ multizone condenser includes a base pan heater to keep ice from collecting on the condenser coil during heat pump operation. This ensures your unit spends more time providing heat for your family and less time in defrost mode. It also protects the coil from damaging freezing, allowing you to enjoy your investment for the long haul. The best news of all? ACIQ includes these technologies with every multizone condenser – the competition makes you pay for it.

ACiQ condenser coils are covered in a durable Gold Fin protective coating, providing enhanced resistance to corrosion even in harsh climates. Paired with the protection of the integrated base pan heater, your system will run consistently year after year, giving you peace of mind in every season.

ACiQ multi zone condensers are pre-charged with enough R410-A refrigerant for up to 98' of line set across all air handlers connected to the condenser. Your technician may not need to add any refrigerant or will add just enough to make up the additional length. All units are run-tested at the factory before shipping. The system is designed to be reliable and give years of trouble-free performance. Should your unit need servicing, troubleshooting is easy thanks to the unit's self-diagnosing control board with alerts that are sent to each connected air handler.

Although the condenser is pre-charged, please note that this model of equipment does not have quick connect line set connectors and is not a self-install unit. You will need a professional to add more refrigerant and vacuum the lines as needed. Installation materials such as line sets, control wire, drain hose, whip and disconnect are not included, but are available at additional cost in the Accessories section to the right of this text. For all multi zone ACiQ condensers, a minimum of two air handlers is needed for the unit to function.

The warranty on the ACiQ-48Z-HH-M5 is a 5 year parts and 7 year limited compressor warranty. With online registration and an installation following your state and local installation codes, the limited compressor warranty will increase to 12 years, giving you the peace of mind that you need to make sure your ACiQ system stays intelligent throughout its long life.

Concealed Duct air handlers give you all the advantages of a multi zone mini split, without any visible air handlers on your walls or ceilings. These flexible units are designed to be concealed above the ceiling, below the floor, above a closet ceiling, above a hallway ceiling or behind a soffit. You run flex ducting from the concealed duct air handler to ceiling or wall registers in your desired location. Depending on the capacity of the unit, up to 4 flex duct runs can be connected, perfect for a pair of small bedrooms or a master suite.

The design is extremely simple – return air is brought in at the rear of the unit and supply (cooled or heated) air is pushed out the front by an almost-silent squirrel cage fan. You attach a pre-made manifold takeoff or field-fabricate plenums using ductboard. Using readily available supplies, the customization possibilities are endless.

Concealed duct system installations require a certain amount of pre-planning, and are similar in scope to a standard home HVAC installation. They are best used in new construction projects or additions. Installation will require flex ducting, register vents, plenums and installation supplies in addition to the equipment components. The Concealed Duct units have a factory-installed pump to lift the condensation. From there you will use PVC to construct a drain system to a safe wastewater location.
