Mitsubishi Ceiling Cassette Mini Split AC Units

Air condition one room, two, three – or your entire house – with a Mitsubishi mini split ceiling cassette system and keep the AC components hidden. But that’s just part of the attraction to building a mini split ceiling cassette system. It also gives you independent control over individual zones without affecting the rest of the house.

With best-in-class Mitsubishi quality you know you are getting top performance at low wholesale pricing and free shipping.

A Mitsubishi mini split AC system uses a single outside condenser that feeds one or more interior air handlers without the need for ductwork. Each ceiling mount mini split zone operates totally independent of the other zones. The air handler fits in the ceiling and passes air through vents that most people wouldn’t even notice unless they looked up.

We’re proud to be a distributor for Mitsubishi mini split ceiling systems, and our relationship with Mitsubishi, the top brand in the mini split field, allows us to offer wholesale pricing, free shipping and outstanding product support. Orders often ship the same day as they’re received.

Ceiling mount mini split systems are not essentially different from other mini split arrangements other than the air handlers are up in the ceiling. Air flow is crucial, and Mitsubishi mini split ceiling cassette systems are well-equipped to move massive amounts of air. They range in tonnage from .75 ton all the way up to 4 tons.

When planning your mini split system, use the rule of thumb that one room equals a zone. You can combine small, adjacent rooms into one zone, and open areas, like alcoves, hallways and vestibules can be included in adjacent zones. At minimum, each zone needs 6,000 BTUs of heating and cooling capacity, but factors like room size, ceiling height, insulation and windows bring the requirements up a bit.

The chart on the left shows how to match air handlers to the zones for which they would be responsible. For example, 9+9+12 means the system ships with three air handlers, two with a capacity of 9,000 BTUs and one with a capacity of 12,000 BTUs. The number in parentheses indicates how many systems are available with those configurations.

Heating service poses special challenges to a ceiling mounted mini split system, since the air delivery comes from above, and warm air rises. The advanced capacity of these Mitsubishi mini split systems ensures that each zone is as comfortable in the winter as it is in the summer. Many of these systems use Mitsubishi’s H2i Hyper Heat pump, which adjusts compressor speed and fan speed to eliminate the uncomfortable drafts that sometimes plague traditional heat pump systems.

Energy efficiency is a hallmark of Mitsubishi mini split systems and these boast SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating) ratings from 15 to 24. This means the systems don’t need to run as often to achieve the desired climate control. This saves energy and saves money on energy bills.
