A ductless mini split multi zone system includes a condenser/compressor, air handlers for each zone (in this case three), one thermostat per air handler, and installation kits. We stock single and multi zone ductless mini splits from the best manufacturers – Carrier, Daikin, Fujitsu, Gree, Mitsubishi, MRCOOL and Perfect Aire.
Our prices are the lowest you’ll find online, and for the vast majority of these systems, the shipping is free. Shipping is fast, as well, with orders going out the door the same day they are placed in most instances.
Most of these mini splits are equipped with modern heat pump technology, providing year-round climate control. The beauty of a ductless mini split heat pump system is that the temperature in each zone (room) is independently controlled; or you might be more excited about the fact that these require no ductwork for installation.
A ductless mini split tri zone wall mounted system is one of dozens of configurations you can get with these ductless mini split systems. The air handlers are as stylish as they are functional, and include wall mount, floor mount, ceiling suspended and ceiling cassette options. Each air handler includes an evaporator coil, which is vital to the air conditioning in the summer and the heat pump operation in the winter.
An average room requires 6,000 BTUs (British Thermal Units) for comfort. For large rooms, rooms with vaulted ceiling, rooms with adjacent open areas and rooms with large windows, you should increase that amount.
The chart on the left is not as intimidating as it looks. Each of the three numbers represents one of the air handlers. The value of the number indicates the BTU capacity of the system, times 1000. For example, 6+6+12 means you get two air handlers rated at 6,000 BTUs and one rated at 12,000 BTUs.
We have matched systems, which really means performance matching. They are selected by HVAC experts to cover as many needs and include as many style options as possible.
We also have a Design Your Own System option, in which you choose the individual components yourself. Using the chart below, decide how many BTUs you need for each zone. In air conditioning, bigger is not better. AC systems that only run a few minutes before shutting off do a poor job of dehumidifying a room, so match the BTU to the need.
Square footage = BTU Output
150 to 250 sq ft = 6,000 BTUs
250 to 300 sq ft = 7,000 BTUs
300 to 350 sq ft = 8,000 BTUs
350 to 400 sq ft = 9,000 BTUs
400 to 450 sq ft = 10,000 BTUs
450 to 550 sq ft = 12,000 BTUs
550 to 700 sq ft = 14,000 BTUs
700 to 1,000 sq ft = 18,000 BTUs
1,000 to 1,200 sq ft = 21,000 BTUs
1,200 to 1,400 sq ft = 23,000 BTUs
1,500 sq ft = 24,000 BTUs
