MAJESTIC WOOD FIREPLACES
Majestic's full line of wood burning fireplaces starts with entry level fireplaces like the Royalton Series which is available in 36" and 42" widths. The Sovereign Series is a step up in the opening height, opening depth, and is available in circulating models that can use a blower kit for increased heat output. The Biltmore is the most popular wood fireplace line through Majestic. With 28"" tall openings and widths of 36"", 42"", and 50"", it is the closest in size to a traditional fireplace. With one of (if not the tallest) the tallest fireplaces openings on the market, the Ashland Series is designed for larger rooms that call for a taller opening (38"" high!).
PREFABRICATED / ZERO CLEARANCE WOOD FIREPLACES
Prefabricated, Zero Clearance, or "ZC" wood burning fireplaces are factory built steel fireboxes designed and safety tested to be installed into a wood framed cavity. Due to the same functionality and only costing a fraction of the cost to install, they have become the standard type of wood fireplace installed into new construction, renovations, and additions. The inner firebox is lined with a high temperature refractory material to insulate and create a realistic masonry appearance. There is an outer shell around this cavity with an air space in between to lower the temperature of the outer shell. These fireplaces require the contractor to be mindful of clearances around the face of the fireplace as well as on the floor out in front. Most fireplaces will have the option of glass doors and outside air kits to meet code where necessary.
