OVERVIEW
The Mitsubishi PEAD-A24AA7 / PUZ-A24NHA7 mini split is designed to be a slim ducted system for when standard central air handlers are physically too large for the space. With its Energy Star certificate and its 24,000 BTU output, the unit is a versatile option in many ways, suitable for many different applications.
QUICK FACTS
24,000 BTU, 19.6 SEER
The Mitsubishi PEAD-A24AA7 / PUZ-A24NHA7 is designed with an output pf 24,000 BTU, or about enough to cover medium-sized spaces depending on climate and other variables. In some cases, the unit can also cover two small adjacent spaces when the ductwork branches off. The efficiency of the unit is rated at 19.6 SEER, which is more efficient than most full-sized central systems.
Warranty
Straight from the manufacturer, the unit has a 5 year parts warranty and 7 year compressor warranty. With installation that follows the equipment’s state and local codes and when the unit is registered online through Mitsubishi, the warranty is upgraded to a 10 year parts and compressor warranty.
Ease of Comfort
While Mitsubishi has a lot of thermostats in their lineup, the manufacturer also provides an optional WiFi adapter. The Kumo Cloud, found here, allows access to your unit whenever you need it. All you need for this feature to work is Internet and the Kumo Cloud application, available on both the App Store and Google Play.
Installation
The Mitsubishi PEAD-A24AA7 / PUZ-A24NHA7 ducted mini split is designed to be a much smaller version of an all-electric central heat pump central system. As the air handler is designed to fit in smaller spaces such as in the ceiling or wall instead of needing its own closet, the unit also has a lower output than many central systems. As a result, in most houses, you will need more than one to cover the entire house depending on your home’s needs. Moreover, the unit can either be blown directly into a space with proper mounting equipment or it can blow through ductwork first. This allows you to direct the airflow into one room or branch it off into multiple rooms, making it ready for multiple installation applications.
