How do you wire the furnace for a smart thermostat?
Smart thermostats typically have a wiring diagrams in their manuals you can follow to get it setup correctly. If there isn't a diagram to follow, your best options would be to either call us so we can walk you through it or have a local contractor take a look at it.
Does this price include delivery and setup?
Hello, yes the price includes free shipping. However, we do not offer installation so that is not included in our price. We recommend referencing sites like Thumbtack.com or Yelp.com to find local installers. If you have any further questions please feel free to give us a call! Thank you.
What gauge wire does it take?
The furnace normally uses a 4-gauge wire, but this will vary with your local electric codes. Please check with a licensed electrician in your area or with your local building code authority before installing this furnace. They will be able to provide you with the right info that adheres to your local codes. If you have any further questions, please call us and we will be happy to assist you.
What size ductwork is needed?
If you are replacing an existing furnace in your home, the current ductwork may be fine. However, we recommend getting a local contractor involved so they can determine if new ductwork is necessary. This furnace can handle between 2-4 tons of airflow (800-1600 CFM) for cooling and is factory set to around 1200 CFM for heating, so the contractor will need to determine whether or not your current duct design is suitable for those airflow rates. If you have any further questions, please call us and we will be happy to assist you.
