The evaporator coil is the part of your air conditioner or heat pump system that gets colder when the unit operates (or warmer when using the heat pump during winter). It's usually installed/mounted in (or connected inline with) the ductwork of your home. When the HVAC system is on, air passes through the coil and the cool air (or hot air when heat pump is in use) is distributed throughout the home. All of our coils are rated in sizes from 1.5 to 5 tons.
Horizontal evaporator coils are used on furnace systems installed in the horizontal position (lying on its side). The actual dimensions on the horizontal cased coils correspond to the widths of furnaces available on our site, and are all designed to fit correctly with your furnace.
We recommend replacing the evaporator coil if it does not match the new condenser. Having a mismatched coil with a new condenser can lead to problems.
