The RunTru by Trane combination system is a great choice to keep your home comfortable all season long. With tons of extra features and a great price, the RunTru by Trane furnace and heat pump system is a perfect choice for all of your heating and cooling needs.
The RunTru by Trane A4HP5042D1 is a standard heat pump condenser. Designed with comfort in mind and an inexpensive option for nearly any application, this condenser is considered a good all-around option for almost any application.
The RunTru by Trane A4HP5042D1 heat pump condenser has an output of 3.5 tons, generally enough to heat and cool up to a small house in ideal climates. In many system configurations, the tonnage of the unit's paired coil or air handler will be larger in tonnage than this condenser, which maintains the efficiency of the unit. Please note that this condenser cannot function on its own, and it needs an indoor coil or air handler to work. This unit will also only heat down to around 35°F, and if you need heat any lower than this, a backup heat strip will be needed to act as straight electric heating in a compatible air handler.
The RunTru by Trane A4HP5042D1 heat pump condenser is rated at 15.2 SEER2, making it between 5-7% more efficient than standard 14.3 SEER2 units, saving you money in electric bills over the entire lifetime of your unit. In general, heat pumps will heat more efficiently than straight electric furnaces.
The RunTru by Trane A801X080BM4SD is an inexpensive model of furnace to provide reasonable comfort to your home. At a basic efficiency, this furnace will heat your home adequately with the right output, providing comfort to your home even in the coldest parts of the year.
The RunTru by Trane A801X080BM4SD has an input of 80,000 BTU. With an efficiency of 80%, this means that the furnace has an output of 64,000 BTU. The 80% AFUE also means that for the gas going into the furnace, 80% of it is used to heat your home while the remaining 20% is lost out the flue piping and lost to normal furnace operations. All 80% furnaces require metal flue venting, and if you need it to be plastic/PVC venting a furnace with an efficiency of 90% or above is required. While this unit uses natural gas as fuel out of the box, we also have an LP conversion kit, available at an additional cost. Please note that this furnace is not Low NOx or Ultra Low NOx compliant and if shipped to California may be subject to a mitigation fee.
RunTru by Trane offers 10 year parts and 20 year heat exchanger limited warranties. Please note that in order for the heat exchanger and parts warranties to be upheld, the unit must be registered through the manufacturer within 90 days of installation. The installation must also follow your state and local codes.
