The Runtru by Trane A4AH4E36A1C3 air handler is rated for an output of 3 tons. In many cases, this air handler will be larger in tonnage than the condenser it is paired with to maintain the unit's overall efficiency. Please note that for this unit to provide cooling, an outdoor condenser is required for it to function. The unit can support electric heating as a straight electric furnace or as a backup for a heat pump, offered at an additional cost to be field installed.
RunTru by Trane offers a 10 year indoor coil and parts warranty on this unit. For these warranties to be upheld, the unit must be installed following your state and local codes and the entire system must be registered online through the manufacturer. To make a more versatile unit, RunTru by Trane designed the A4AH4E36A1C3 to easily be installed in an upflow, downflow, or horizontal position. A TXV kit is already installed on the unit so your installer does not have to install one, decreasing installation costs. For durability, the A4AH4E36A1C3 air handler is designed with an extremely strong, one-piece outer casing to protect the unit, and the coil is designed with corrosion-resistant aluminum.
The A4AH4E36A1C3 air handler has an efficient 5-speed ECM blower motor, providing stable temperatures in your home and making you more comfortable. The control board will automatically communicate with your thermostat to adjust the output of the blower to suit your needs.
The RunTru by Trane A4AC5042D1 is a standard AC-only condenser. Designed with comfort in mind and an inexpensive but higher-than-standard efficiency option for nearly any application, this condenser is considered a good all-around option for almost any application.
The RunTru by Trane A4AC5042D1 air conditioner condenser has an output of 3.5 tons, generally enough to cool up to a medium size house in ideal climates. In many system configurations, the tonnage of the unit's paired coil or air handler will be larger in tonnage than this condenser, which maintains the efficiency of the unit. The RunTru by Trane A4AC5042D1 air conditioner condenser is rated at 16 SEER2, making it between 5-7% more efficient than 15.2 SEER2 units, saving you money in electric bills over the entire lifetime of your unit.
RunTru by Trane offers a 10 year compressor, outdoor coil, and parts warranty on this condenser. For these warranties to be upheld, the unit must be installed following your state and local codes, a new and certified evaporator coil must be installed at the same time, and the entire system must be registered online through the manufacturer.
The cabinet of RunTru by Trane units are extremely durable. On the A4AC5042D1, there are reinforced corner posts and the internals of the unit are protected by an additional inlet grille, all to provide enhanced protection to the unit.
