The RunTru Limited Warranty, applicable to residential applications, covers various products for specified periods. For furnaces like A801X, A951X, and A952V, the heat exchanger is covered for 20 years, while other parts have a 5-year warranty. Air handlers such as the A4AH4 Series and GM Series have a 10-year warranty on coils and 5 years on other parts. Electric heaters installed in A4AH air handlers, like BAYHTR15 and BAYHTR35, have a 10-year parts warranty.
Single-phase R-410A outdoor units like A4AC and A4HP have a 10-year warranty on compressors and outdoor coils, with other parts covered for 5 years. Cased coils such as A4MX have a 10-year coil warranty and 5 years on other parts. Packaged units like 4WCA4 and 4YCA4 have a 20-year heat exchanger warranty, 10 years on compressors and coils, and 5 years on other parts. For units like 4TCA4, the compressor and coil have a 10-year warranty, with other parts covered for 5 years. Electric heaters installed in 4TCA4 packaged units, like BAYHTR1V, have a 10-year parts warranty. Commercial applications are subject to residential warranty terms.

Is RunTru as good as Trane?
RunTru and Trane share the same mechanical components as each other. The difference lies in the non-mechanical additions to each unit, such as sound insulators and condenser housing. Trane tends to utilize higher-end components while RunTru uses basic, standard components. However, bear in mind that these are components that do not change how each condenser performs; you will get the same performance rating from the RunTru equivalent of a Trane unit.
How long does a RunTru unit last?
A RunTru unit has the same expected lifespan as a Trane unit: 15-20 years with proper maintenance and care.
What is the warranty for a RunTru unit?
With online registration, RunTru's warranty policies include 20 year heat exchanger replacements, 10 year parts replacements, 10 year compressor replacements, and 10 year internal coil replacements. If the unit is not registered, the parts, compressor, and internal coil warranties will instead be 5 years. The heat exchanger replacement will remain at 20 years regardless of registration.
