Air source- uses interior air? Gets air right outside of mounted area? Air comes all the way from compressor?

Thank you for your question. The mini split system works by circulating the air that is in your home. The air doesn't leave the space, but rather is heated or cooled to meet the zones specified thermostat setting. The air is heated or cooled by the refrigerant, which runs through the evaporator in the air handler as either a cold gas, or hot gas, which the indoor blower moves air over, therefore heating or cooling the air.
