Can I install the 10Kw (50Amp) Mr Cool heat strip in your 5 ton universal or must I choose the 15kw or 20kw?

Yes you can use a 10KW heat kit with a Mr Cool 5 Ton. It may not be as effective as emergency heat, but it will help temper the air during the defrost cycle.
