Can it be used as a fireplace insert?

The Chic-Choc stove is typically too large to be placed into an existing fireplace opening so the manufacturer does not test for this type of installation. We recommend reaching out to your local building inspector prior to installation. Please give us a call if we can help further. Thanks!
