Can this be vented out of a side wall?

It can, but venting an 80% furnace through a side wall is incredibly costly due to how expensive an 80% side wall vent kit is to buy and install. It is much more cost-effective to vent a furnace with an efficiency of 90% or higher through a side wall. 80% furnaces are better off being vented through a roof.
