This unit can be installed in California, however, you will have to pay a $450 mitigation fee due to this furnace not meeting the SCAQMD Rule 1111 14 ng/J NOx emission limit. The purpose of Rule 1111 is to reduce NOx emissions from fan-type central furnaces and applies to manufacturers, distributors, sellers , and installers of residential and commercial fan type central furnaces.
