Define a "small room" please?

Thank you for your question. The size of space that a unit can heat and cool is dependent upon several factors other that size. For instance, a 9K or 12K BTU unit will heat a much smaller space in Minnesota vs, Georgia, Arizona or New Mexico. The inverse is true for cooling. For most climates a 9k unit will heat and cool about 350 to 400 sq. ft. and a 12K will heat and cool about 400 to 600 sq. ft. 12k, but again depends on climate. Other factors include quality of insulation and the number of windows that a space has. For more information on sizing, please reference our Sizing Guide.
