No, the Dragonfly kit (0230K00044) itself does not require a 5-wire thermostat connection. The kit is an integration/mitigation board used to connect compatible non-A2L Goodman furnaces to newer R-32 systems and handles the required A2L safety functions independently of the thermostat wire count.
