Does the direction of the heater matter?

Thank you for your question. We spoke with the vendor and they stated: "Generally speaking the heater should be at least 6 inches from any wall and pointing towards the area to be warmed. However, there could be other factors, mostly installation related that can limit heater orientation options. For example, since the heater is pointing in the opposite direction of the exhaust port, if the exhaust port is pointing to the left, the heater can only be pointing to the right."
