This unit does not heat. It is just an air conditioning unit; no supplemental heating is built-in. If you are looking for something that heats, a heat pump condenser would be a great option. Goodman's GSZ140361 (https://hvacdirect.com/goodman-3-ton-14-seer-heat-pump-air-conditioner-condenser-gsz140361.html) or AirQuest's R4H436GK (https://hvacdirect.com/3-ton-14-seer-airquest-heat-pump-r4h436gkc.html) are excellent heat pumps that are currently available (as of 5/12/23) and match the tonnage and SEER rating of the GSX140361.
