Does this unit shut off or stop heating at 5 degrees?

When temperatures drop below 5 degrees Fahrenheit, the unit is unable to efficiently heat. Extreme cold makes it difficult for the pump to absorb heat, thus causing a decline in its efficiency. For extreme temperatures we recommend a back up heat source. We also have some mini split units that efficiently heat down to -22 degrees Fahrenheit for exceptionally cold climates.
