How do you install the disconnect switch to a battery?

Installing the disconnect switch to a battery takes a few steps: 1. Remove all cables from the battery, both positive and negative as a safety precaution. 2. Remove the terminal from the negative cable end once disconnected. 3. Wire in the new disconnect switch between the cable and the battery so the switch will break the connection when turned off. 4. Reconnect the terminal that was removed on step 2. 5. Find a secure area to screw in the disconnect switch 6. Reconnect the cables that were removed on step 1.
