As long as the BTU output, width, and depth remain the same, this furnace will work for you. Since your old furnace is .25" shorter in depth than the GMEC961205DN, you may want to measure where your furnace is housed to make sure it will fit.
Also, you should not have to worry about furnace's height or plenum's dimensions. Since your furnace's height is 20" taller than the GMEC961205DN, you may need a furnace/plenum transition to help connect it to the ductwork. This is a common part to need now that the more modern furnaces are all built shorter. We have a transition available if your setup requires it: TR-FPL.
