Do the shutters on the wall master exhaust fan close manually or electrically?

The shutters on the J&D Wall Master exhaust fan operate passively, they do not close or open electrically. Instead, they’re aluminum gravity shutters with a tie bar to prevent flapping or locking open; they open when the fan runs and close under gravity when airflow stops.
