Will this work with a conventional 24 thermostat?

Yes, the ACIQ-4X-AC can work with a conventional 24V thermostat, provided it is wired and configured for non-communicating operation. Keep in mind that when using a standard 24V thermostat instead of ACIQ's communicating controls, the system may operate with reduced functionality, such as staged rather than fully variable performance, depending on the rest of the equipment. It is also important to follow the manufacturer's wiring instructions, as connecting 24V power to the communication terminals (S1/S2) can damage the control board.
