The thermal expansion valve is specifically optimized for R-410A refrigerant, allowing precise control of refrigerant flow through the coil. How it Works
A pool heat pump works by transferring available heat from the outside air into the unit using a four-sided evaporator coil. The heat is then introduced to refrigerant, compressed, and superheated. It then passes through a rifled titanium heat exchanger, heating the pool water to the desired set point, and returning to the pool.
What Size Do I Need?
Here are some recommendations based on pool size and standard operating conditions. Keep in mind that several factors can affect this determination, such as shade, elevations, desired set points, above-ground or in-ground pool, and more. It is recommended to choose a heat pump one size up to ensure the best performance. Here are some suggested heat pump models and their respective recommended pool size:
- HE110: 110,000 BTU - suitable for up to 15,000 gallons or 450 square feet
- HE125: 125,000 BTU - suitable for up to 23,000 gallons or 650 square feet
- HE150: 150,000 BTU - suitable for up to 27,000 gallons or 800 square feet
**Keep in mind that using a pool cover can reduce heat losses by 50%**

What is the warranty?

Can the outlets be reduced to 1.5"?
The unions for all of Gulfstream units are 2" but can be reduced to 1.5" by using a reducer fitting. The HE125 has a max breaker of 50 amps but will work on a 40 amp breaker. Having 1.5" plumbing, it should be made aware that making sure there is sufficient water flow 45 gpm....If you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call! Can we use 600 watts 60 V solar panels? What will be the specifications?
The unit will require Ac power and will need approx. 22 amp of 240V power. This is possible for a batter system, but not likely practical if not also getting electric from the grid. Please give a call if you have any further questions. Thanks!
Can unit be as close as 4" to brick wall. If credit card is used is there a charge ?
Location is probably the most important consideration when installing a heat pump. Poor installation can adversely affect performance, as well as cause problems with servicing and overall customer satisfaction.
