Saved about $5000 by having engeneer calculate furnace size, purchased directly from hvacdirect, found local installer. Hvac contractors are biggest scam in our country.

The ordering process was easy, the delivery was made with no problems. The furnace was exactly what I needed. It performs even better than I expected. I am glad I upgraded. What a difference it makes with the dehumidifier makes, maybe even as much as the heat itself.

So far the furnace works great. We'll have to wait till spring to try out the AC. No issues with the install. Equipment was in great condition when delivered.

This was the first time adding a TXV kit. I was reluctant because you could just leave the unit with the standard set orifice. But, now 7 months later, it's been working fine. It makes sense to put one, just like a thermostat for a car. It makes things run consistent on the output.

Reliable heating

Ordered this product and it came as promised. Mine came with the liftgate option and the driver unloaded the product(s) (I had a condenser delivered as well) and he put them in my garage for me and waited while I unwrapped and inspected them for acceptance. The purchase, the service, and the delivery were all top notch and the price can't be beat. I'm very impressed and very happy with the products I chose.

Purchased for a 1500sqft 1960's home with design temperature of 3 degrees. Perfect match! Easy install, although I'm handy.

Installed this system with the over-priced CTK04 communicating thermostat, which I would recommend if installing a variable speed ECM. The stat controls the 2 stage compressor and 2 stage furnace by varying the stages and CFM based on set point. This is a feature I was interested in and like the way the system will maintain set point without over driving the temperature, forcing the unit to shut of. You can actually increase the set point by 1 to 2 degrees and still feel very comfortable because airflow is being circulated even when the CFM drop to about 400.

The verdict is still out as to whether or not the configuration I am running is going to save me money over my 17 year old 3 ton condenser. My system has only been installed for a little over a month.

Supply and return temperature has about a 20 degree delta, which is about 5 more degrees than my old condenser. Furnace blower is very quiet at 1,200 CFM. I have not used the furnace yet but I did ramp up the fan to maximum airflow of 2,200 CFM, which is at least 300 CFM more that the furnace is designed for. At 2,200 CFM the noise level was comparable to the old blower.

The condensing unit is much more quiet than the old unit. The condenser has an outdoor temperature sensor and there is an issue with it. The CTK04 thermostat will sometimes show an incorrect reading of +/- 10 degrees. I was unable to get confirmation on whether or not the issue is with the stat or the control board. The workaround to display the OA-T correctly at the stat is to install a wireless OA-T sensor. The stat also seems to be too sensitive to temperature change where the integrated temp sensor will quickly change by 2 degrees within a few minutes after the set point is changed by -2 degrees. I am still trying to diagnose why this occurs when the set point is only changed by a few degrees as opposed to a larger value of about -4 degrees.

Other than the issues with the stat, I am very pleased with my purchase. The system out performs my expectations and I am interested to see how well the furnace will perform over the old one. If I can get 17 years out of life out of this system then I will be very happy.
