Overall Ok

Purchased and installed in 2022 - worked well for 2 years besides some minor noise and leakage issues. Then main circuit board broke and was told it was apparently due to us not installing a surge protector. Service/Warranty support was responsive but it took us about 2 months to finally resolve issue and had to replace board 2-3 times, costing us a lot in HVAC tech visits and had to install window AC units (as the minisplits went out during prime summer heatwave in DC). After it was fixed, we installed a surge protector, and hasn't recurred again (although we are nervous it will). Overall, I wish I had purchased a unit that local HVAC techs could have parts for same day (instead of having to wait for a week or two for replacement control boards to be shipped across country), but purchased this unit during COVID when supplies were limited during a renovation unfortunately. I also over the past 4 years have tried over 20 times to contact support/manufacturer to get replacement air filters for the 5 mini splits and have never been able to get anyone knowledgeable and get the replacements.....so normal parts service (outside of warranty service) is just non-existent......you'll just keep getting redirected to the https://hvacdirect.com/part-quote site, but I've never received a response from that site (and its often down).......

Very Happy

We are in a northern climate, we utilize the heat pumps for some heat and mostly summer dehumidification. I did 80% of the install myself and was finished by a HVAC contractor who filled the gas. Between price and my work the install was very economical. I now have three compressors and 5 heads in my house and no issues.

I love the ACIQ brand, it's becoming our exclusive installs. Haven't had a problem yet except for a stuck pressure sensor on this model that took a minute to diagnose on a new unit. But once we got it running and had heat the customer was thrilled and called 3 days later to say it was working great! That's all I need.

Great Mini split

As far as mini splits go I love the ACiQ mini splits the option for indoor units is great. we have installed several of the slim cassettes they are great for in homes fitting in between 16" joists. the technology on these units is great with the features they offer, heating, cooling, humidify, dehumidify and the filter lowers to be cleaned instead of having to get on a ladder. comes with a remote and Wi-Fi to control on your mobile device. the units are very quiet as well are customers love them. the units are a very good price as well the only other company i know who makes these are Mitsubishi with their units costing a considerable amount more.

So far so good

I got 2 wall units up and running last week and so far so good. They are keeping the main level at the desired temp in 20 degree outdoor weather. This week is supposed to get much colder so we'll see. I still have 2 more ceiling cassettes to put on this condenser, but they are going to be a lot more work.

Best source for HVAC equipment

Just added two 48K ACiQ split systems to heat my 6,000 sq.ft. warehouse. The folks at HVACDirect were excellent in helping me select the right equipment and took the time to understand what I wanted to accomplish. Pricing was great, and the shipment was prompt. Could have used a stronger pallet to ship the two units; by the time they arrived, the pallet was destroyed, but the units arrived in perfect condition nonetheless. HVACDirect was great to work with, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy equipment for their home or business.

Awesome

Everyting was well packaged and not damaged. so looking here at what was ordered it shows I ordered the mini condensate pump but it wasn't there. The installer who is a mii split said aomthing about it not being there I went to the local hardward store and pruchased one. guess I should have contacted the company to get my money back on what I didn't get.

outstanding quality

I have not finished the install yet, but I am very impressed with the design of the system; I really liked the attention to details in the design; the little kickstand in the air handler that holds it out from the wall while you attach the lineset. The kickstand that holds up the wiring module. The locking bar that holds up the cover. priceless! And the performance specs are awesome I think. And the condenser area seems larger than the other one I put in 5 years ago that I can't remember; probably is why it is so efficient. Not excited that the refrigerant leak sensor in the handlers have to be replaced after 15 years, but I understand that is how things are and they probably won't cost much by then.

Exceptional product!

This unit, these units, are excellent. They even feel solid and well built. The app is well thought out the controls are extensive, the wall units work well for cool and heat!

The base unit seems to be working smoothly and without issue.

The app could use a little more clarity around adding devices… once I figured it out for mine the rest were easy!

Kevin was super helpful and very prompt with sizing for the room dimensions that I gave him. The shipping and the information on shipping and arrival was good, the arrival time from order day to pick up was good, no damage to heat pump or heads. I was unsure about HVAC Direct, but they were the only ones that had the system (customized) that I could find at an acceptable price. I'm 100% glad I've purchased through them. I did have 2 missing adapters, and they resolved the issue by sending the parts without question, and very timely.

Great Product

Despite have an install problem, HVAC Direct went out of their way to help us out. Replaced my compressor and got us up and running.
Worked with my installer to ensure everything was working correctly. The ACiQ unit is as quiet and efficient as we had hoped.

Better than Mitsubishi

I have mini-splits throughout the house. I already had two Mitsubishi Mr. Slim multi-head systems when I got these ACIQs. They work better than the Mitsubishis. What an early reviewer said about the thermostat is true, one must set it higher to reach the desired temp, but it's also true of the Mitsubishis. To be fair, I live in the desert and have skylights, so my units are working their butts off. The ACIQs are also more aesthetically pleasing than the Mitsubishis, and less expensive. I'd buy ACIQ again.

They’re okay

The units are okay. They work decent, however the thermostats in them are off. They read the room way warmer than what it actually is. So I have to set the unit temp to 78 to achieve 70 degrees. I tested it with a separate thermostat and it’s for sure reading wrong. But for the price…. You get what you buy!

Having a very large ranch house, I choose to install 3 separate outdoor units, and 10 indoor wall units.

Good System and No Suprises Except Secondary Condensate Protection

I bought the 48kBtu system with 5 indoor units. The instructions were a bit vague and generic, I wish they had more detail on doing the regrigeration prep and in some cases, adding more R410a. However with some help from a friend who is a pro i was able to get the system working well. One challenge I had was that code required a secondary drain or shutdown device on each indoor unit. I had to purchase an expensive Rectorseal product at $100 per system to satisfy that requirement. My thought is that ACIQ could have added an overflow detector for very cheap and saved alot of cost and pain to install a 3rd party system; however, this will be the case for any system you purchase so lets hope ACIQ introduces a built-in option soon.

I am so thrilled to have the ACIQ unit up and running. I have waited for years to get a multihead minisplit and HVAC did not disappoint. The unit is everything I expected and more. I was able to go the ACIQ web page and complete the warranty with no issues. I hope I do not have to use the warranty but it is there if needed.

Very good

Initial impressions on the ACIQ mini split have been very good. I am a DIY homeowner but I am 608 certified so I installed the units myself. Installation was straightforward with no issues. I live in a log home and had reuse existing line sets due to not being able to access them without major demolition work. Line sets were thoroughly flushed and purged prior to triple evacuation. I did have to add about 3/4 lbs additional refrigerant due to the long length of the line sets. I am impressed with the units performance so far. I’m getting a 21 degree temperature difference supply vs return at the turbo fan setting. These units replaced a Carrier mini split system that never performed that well even when new. Loving the scheduling and other features of the mobile app to control the units. The inverter style condenser unit seems very efficient as far as amp draw. I really like how the fan speed will adjust to the outside ambient temperature for efficient heat extraction.

I chose the ACIQ system based on the warranty and online reviews having never seen the brand in person. I cannot yet vouch for the longevity of the units, but so far, I am completely satisfied.
