The ID fan pressure sensor was not working on the first day, giving an EE1 error, but it cleared by itself on the next day.

Great unit! Showed up on time and in great condition. Packaging was excellent and very secure. All pieces were included. Got the plenum kit which came with a lot of metal screws too. Unit hooked up and is working great! I was without heat so having these guys to talk with and sort out details was key to my purchase. Contacting them during shipping to make sure everything was on time was easy and no hassle. Unit was well priced and I feel I got a great deal over all and isn't that what it's all about?
If I ever upgrade and add A/C I'll be buying from here only. Once you treat me right you keep my business until you don't. Only fair.

This furnace is replacing a Goodman I installed in 2002. Everything went smoothly but I wished it would be easier to read the wiring markers. I pretty much had to lay on the floor to see them because they're marked on the bottom not the top of the connections.

First time installing a Goodman, I have replaced quite a few of the older models. Everything hooked up fine only issue was shutting off the R32 sensor , didn't realize i needed to do that until it was to late. Took a few attempts to reset the codes but after a quick video on YouTube from their links it was fixed. Over all I'm very happy with it and so is the customer. It's nice when the install takes less that 6 hours start to finish.

I purchased two furnaces that were delivered promptly. I am very pleased.

Unit runs smoothly as you'd expect for a new furnace. It replaced a 70,000 BTU from the late 80's and hasn't had any problems so far with low 20 degree weather in a 1,300 SF northern mid-west home.
My only hits on the quality would be there were several screws loose on the unit randomly all over, so we looked at it closely in case of the feared "Friday or Monday build". Perhaps this happens in shipping, or some fasteners like the gas hookup are left loose for ease of connecting gas first.
The cabinet had some damage I'd assume came during shipping, so it required some field adjustments to get the upper door on straight and hooking up the plenum. Pricing compared with about every other competitor, but the unit was available in stock and the reliability and customer service of HVACDirect won out with us.

this is a furnace replacement. our heating installers use this brand all the time. though they were 4k for furnace and install, i figured I would give it a shot myself. it showed up packaged like a tank, so it was well protected, though the delivery company failed to call me prior to showing up, instead they left out in the driveway. unit isn't that heavy, shorter than old one. was pretty easy to install with gas, vents, and wires.
BE SURE to read the tag near the wire terminals about A2L. the furnace ran full fan only. you have to go into setting and tell it no, then it will work as it should. my nest thermostat allows for 2 stage heating which is absolutely amazing. house heats up way quicker, and it runs way less.
I myself being very handy at fixing things, if can do handy things, buy from here as prices are great, and fast shipping, and most things seem in stock a lot.

The hardest part of this installation for me was cutting out a bottom hole and sealing up the side return inlet on a steal prefabricated bottom plenum. I didn’t want to redo or add to the top plenum, so I ordered a bottom base that matched the Goodman color since this furnace was about 5 inches shorter than the old one. Once that was complete and the AC coil was strapped up, pulling out the old furnace and installing this one was a breeze. I did swap out the electrical housing though because I just wanted an easy transition and the plastic housing in this one was too thick for the old screw in wire retainer, the old sheet metal one worked better for my situation. It doesn’t come with an air filter rack, so I reused the one from the old unit. In conclusion, it’s a very easy plug and play unit once you’re ready to install. You’ll need a 1/2 inch diameter 2 inch long gas line and a 90 degree elbow for the initial phase of the gas inlet, plus whatever length is best for your situation for the run out of the furnace. The electrical wires are basic black/white/green. Always remember to take an up close picture of your thermostat wires before removing them from the old unit so you’ll be able to put them back in the exact order.

Goodman 96% efficiency furances deliveried in a few days. Great units, efficient, quiet. Place 3 separate units in my rental. Work great. Wish all purchases were this good.

I had never done this before, but thanks to YouTube I completely installed this furnace on my own. Bending and installing the sheet metal was the only unknown. With a few basic tools the metal can be done. I would do it again since it saved me $2k.

I purchased this unit to replace my 25 year old Carrier 55K 92% Efficient furnace. The only original parts on the Carrier were the blower motor and the cabinet. Instead of worrying about what would give out next, I opted to buy a replacement and use the old furnace as a garage heater. After a lot of looking around, I landed on this Goodman model. I've had Goodmans in the past and they did well for me. So, I know it's a dependable brand. This one runs smooth and quiet and the comfort is more uniform throughout the house. The gain of a few more Btu's seems to have made the difference and I am glad that I went with the 60 instead of some other brand at 70k. Having an older brick house, I'd prefer hydronic heat but it would be to expensive to convert just now. I'm really please with how the unit varies speed and temp to maintain a pretty constant and consistent temperature throughout.

Had to reroute and clean up internal wiring. It was sloppy and some wires were pulled tight, straining the connector.

Everything about this transaction was awesome - ease, speed, accuracy - everything. Arrived in about a week and product is also awesome. It's been in for several weeks now and works wonderfully and has significantly lowered my bill. Have recommended you many times already and will continue to do so.

Situation
This furnace replaced an 80's model 100,000 Input BTU furnace with an estimated efficiency of 60-66% (60,000 to 66,000 Output BTU). This unit has an 80,000 Input BTU rating at 96% efficiency (Output 1st Stage at 76,800, 2nd Stage at 53,760). The previous furnace was also suspect in contributing to the dangerous accumulation of Carbon Monoxide (CO) in our home since other major improvements were made.

Installation
The dimensions of this furnace allowed for an elevated installation which required minimal modifications to the existing return ductwork and condensate drain line. The return ductwork only required a shortening of a piece of duct prior to attachment to the new unit. The drain line modification required a couple of new fittings to add the exhaust condensate lines to an existing drain line from the coil that needed to be repaired and rerouted anyway. The intake and exhaust requirements required more extensive installation of new plumbing to a side wall vent kit but was a very welcome change as the existing flue is hindering floorplan changes that we would like to make.

Impressions of Unit Construction
The unit was impressive in that it was light enough to be manageable for installation on my own with no other assistance. The overall build quality appears to be excellent at this price point as I had no issues with the unit twisting or tweaking during the installation process.

Impressions of Performance
The upgrade from a single-stage direct natural venting furnace to this 2-stage direct vent furnace has been immediately evident. I have yet to truly test the furnace with the 2nd stage, but I'm already impressed with the 1st stage performance. To be fair, my suspected efficiency of the previous unit results in the 1st stage of this new unit having a near matching output. I have confidence that when I need to heat the space quickly, this unit will be more than capable over the previous unit. This situation should be mostly limited due to the programming of our Sensi Thermostat (soon to be upgraded to an ecobee Premium, I am a Generac Dealer).
Forecast
I expect that our heating bill will drop significantly to around 40-50% of our previous bills. I already have the thermostat programmed to run the fan approximately 35% of each hour to assist in leveling temperature throughout the home.
It also doesn’t appear to be immediately expressed, but this unit has kept the door open for us to consider our air-conditioning upgrade future. I’ve found that this unit will allow us to pursue either a “dual fuel” or heat pump only setup (granted the air-handler is probably not sufficient for a true heat pump only setup). I’ll choose a “dual fuel” setup if I opt to include the installation of a heat pump. This is mostly influenced by my ability and desire to be able to custom configure the system and how it will run while on generator backup.

Summary
This unit has been a great replacement for an increasingly ageing, expensive, and dangerous installation. The installation was fairly easy for someone with no HVAC and much electrical trade experience. The performance at 50% (1st Stage only) should more than cover what we’ve come to expect from our previous unit.

I bought this unit to replace a 15yo Tappan(Nordyne) that was part of a 16 seer 4ton 80K btu install. The Nordyne has no parts available and just too many problems over the years. I saw no need to replace the AC parts since they were never an issue. This being a 2 stage furnace with ECM blower, it was an exact size and spec replacement. Went in very smoothly and runs very quietly. Actually much better than I expected. $1.2K versus $5K for quotes from local HVAC service guys... I'll take the $1200 anyday.

quiet, works great, this is my second goodman furnace and am very happy with it.

Easy to buy, install and use. I am not an HVAC person, but installing this furnace was easy. Made my plenum changes to fit the furnace with a secondary heat pump as air conditioning. Had to install all black pipe with fittings to code as well as have a qualified/certified HVAC professional survey and check my install.
All check out the first time and propane tick-tack was installed by propane dealer.
1st winter has gone by without any issues. Furnace is fully functional and without faults.

Delivery was great! There was an exterior box that was a little beat up, but the inside box was pristine. Once I unpacked the furnace, it became evident that the fan was loose in the bottom of the furnace. The fan is supposed to sit in a groove, and it had come out. I was able to put it back together, and it works terrific! Very quiet, lots of heat! Very happy with it....now to see if it lasts. It has only been installed for a couple days.

Let me start by saying your help and knowledge was outstanding and very appreciated. You clearly know your stuff. The delivery guy and company were also awesome and helpful. With that being said, the unit did arrive with some case damage and also had some missing, stripped and/ or loose screws. Given my need for heat it was in my best interest to ignore (repair) these issues and continue to install the unit. Besides having a few cosmetic issues the unit is working great and I am pretty much happy overall. I would recommend you and HVAC Direct without hesitation

My 100k btu Goodman furnace and air cleaner arrived in great shape and are installed and working great.

My customer experience proved very positive and informative regarding product information and extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff.

The only problem I experienced had to do with the shipping, which was broken up by the holidays. The issue being I had a had time with tracking. It seems the shipment was transferred from one carrier to another and since I don’t yet live at the delivery address I stipulated a heads up call on the delivery. I never received a call and the units were dropped off in the driveway unbeknownst to me. Had I not been calling tracking down the shipment only to find it was dropped off at 9am I would have set out for several days. The sad part is I could have been there for delivery but I had to take off work as I was on afternoon to go out and drag it to the garage.

Bottom line, great customer service from HVAC Direct but the shipper dropped the ball.

my only complaint is the top for the plenum I ordered was too small. It was about a half inch short all the way around. I made it work but it kind of looks like crap. Other than that I'm happy with everything I ordered and you always impress me with your shipping quality and timeframes. Thank you.

Heater works great. A little damage from either where it was stored, or during shipping. The dent location did not appear to cause issues for the installation or operation of the heater. The heater due to size was raised up off the ground 5 inches, which was also nice due to water on floor going to sumps during heavy rains. Great working overall for what was needed.

I must say that I was very impressed with the packing of the unit as well as the solid construction. I ended up working on this project alone so it took me about 22 hours to complete as I had to do a fair amount of sheet metal work but the installation itself was very straightforward and the unit is performing extremely well. Our parents are quite happy with how quiet the system is and that it provides a much more even heat than their 20 year old unit that I removed.


I will need to purchase and install the AC portion of the system this spring, but we just didn't have the finances to do that at this time. If I had to give you all a rating, it would definitely be an A+

The furnace went in well, however it is still summer so we have only ran it once to test it out. It seemed to turn on and off well. The package arrived on time and was in good shape.

I got a Goodman 96% 2 stage 60k BTU my furnace is so quiet and the best thing of all my Energy bill went down. I had a 25yr old furnace and was making so much noise we did know if it would turn back on after running & the heat coming out of the air ducts was so loud we had to turn up the TV. Thank you Goodman thank you for making a great product.
