I purchased my mini split MRCOOL DIY 18,000 BTU 20 SEER Ductless Mini Split AC and Heat Pump with Wireless-Enabled Smart Controller in April 2022. The reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 was that the first two arrived damaged. It was very difficult and time-consuming to contact HVACdirect. On hold, no return calls. When I finally found the right person, the second return went smoothly. But from the time I ordered the first unit, it took about 3 months to have a working unit. Since installing the unit, it has been working great. You must make sure that the drain line inside the unit does not sag or have any dips otherwise water will spray out of the unit. I would buy another one.

We bought the McCool unit due to its ease to install. The directions were easy and the DIY line connections were very easy to follow. We are building another building and will again be buying another McCool unit from HVAC Direct. Really like working with this company.

Very easy to install. Works Great. Installed for a week. Haven't had outside temps below the teens yet, but heat works fine with them in the teens. Too soon to know about the cooling.

Everything was great and had no issues with any of the products. The shipping was on time for the main unit and 3 days ahead of the estimated delivery. I will be using HVACDirect in the near future.

Just follow the instructions. Read all of them before install. It took me about 6 hours to complete Mine works great cools and heats my 4 car garage with 6 in side walls with r40 insulation with ease. I did notice that the fan runs all the time be it to doesn't have any significant impact on the electric bill. Also it's incredibly quite. And I didn't need to call an HVAC guy to come out , big savings there as well. Mr. Cool was the right choice for my project.

After i figured how to keep the filter clean ohboy it took off and kicks but. I have the cheapest heat bill compared to before .

So far the Mr Cool mini split is great. I appreciate how well the product has been designed. Clear instructions. Good packaging. Easy installation. I installed two other mini splits in the past, but did not like having to get a crew from town to pull a vacuum and make the final connections. The precharged lines for the Mr Cool are what sold me on the product . . . and they seem just fine.



We will continue to use this device for a few more months (to make sure it does develop problems) and then I intend to order another one for a different section of the house.

I added an 18 x 32 family room onto the back of my house in 2003. The contractor recommended a Mini Split Heating & Air System; I am so glad he did! It saved my thousands of dollars and works beautifully! This unit is 16 years old now and has the old refrigerant in the lines. And from what I have been told there is no easy fix to add newly required refrigerant. Plus, my old can't be controlled by my mobile phone; therefore, I am kind of looking forward to replacing it will the Mr. Cool unit in the near future.
