I purchased this home new with the unit already installed, and thus far it has heated our home with remarkable efficiency.

Very professional installation

I installed the Goodman GD9T800603BX myself and couldn’t be happier with how straightforward the process was. Everything is laid out logically, access panels come off easily, and the wiring and terminals are clearly labeled, which made setup simple and stress-free.

The cabinet is solid and well built, and there was plenty of room to work inside without fighting tight clearances. The control board is easy to understand, dip switches are clearly marked, and nothing felt overcomplicated or proprietary. If you’re comfortable with basic HVAC and electrical work, this unit is very DIY-friendly.

Once up and running, performance has been excellent. The two-stage heat runs quiet and smooth, and the variable-speed blower does a great job keeping temperatures even throughout the house. It fires reliably and heats quickly without short cycling.

Overall, this furnace is an excellent choice for someone who wants a dependable, efficient unit that doesn’t require a service tech to understand. Solid design, easy installation, and great performance. I’d buy it again without hesitation.
