This coil will directly replace any of the Carrier branded (Bryant, Payne, Day and Night, etc.) N-coils. I removed it from the casing and installed it in an existing coil cabinet. Without any modifications. No sheet metal mods were necessary. Works perfectly after 2 seasons. A lot of the original N-coils using 410 from Carrier failed early on. This product will save you from replacing your system.

Relatively Easy Install. Lots of extra parts are included, that are needed for several models, so don't worry about something being an extra item. If you convert to Propane, make sure you change out the valve springs and reinstall with the exact number of turns for HI and LO. The power wires are in the Power Vent section, not the control panel area. The universal vertical/horizontal unit is excellent product choice.

A complex thermostat has a lot steps, procedures, and settings. Having a readily available and knowledgeable service support is really appreciated.

ordered online to ship to wisconsin, got here in a couple days. Got it with a lift gate so it was an easy delivery. Installation was done in a day and was pleased with the build quality and performance. Been running a couple months now with no issues.

I bought this because the original ad had a life compressor warranty although it was not available so the salesman suggested a substitute that was "as good" but the wattanty was not lifetime--although he said it'd be honored. Hopefully we won't need to ever check that out. I had difficulty finding an installer not wedded to their own brands but finally got it done at a bit of a premium. My first heat pump and still getting familiar w/ the operating characteristics but so far am satisfied with the equipment and your service. I would caution purchasers to secure a willing installer before taking delivery if they are not HVAC wonks. Thanks for asking me my experience.

I'm using most of the features this controller offers and it was tricky to get my old ventilator working with this new HVAC system. When we exhausted the knowledge in-house at HVACdirect.com, they referred me to a local expert who stuck with me until all capabilities were functioning perfectly. One thing to know about this controller... If running a whole house ventilation system... there is a 1-1/2 minute delay before the furnace fan begins to do its part. That delay kept me wondering what was wrong for a few weeks but now it all works perfectly. Highly recommend HVACdirect.com and the ION system controller.

I've been running this evaporator coil in air-conditioning mode for a month now. It performs beautifully both as an air conditioning condenser and a heat pump heat exchanger. It fit perfectly atop my AirQuest furnace with no modifications necessary. Rather than an "A" shaped coil, this is a "W" shaped coil which gives more heat transfer capacity for 4 ton and larger air conditioning units. Along with my AirQuest air conditioner & heat-pump, and the ION System Control thermostat, this combination is good at keeping the house comfortable. Although AirQuest is an unknown brand name to me, I believe it to be a Carrier brand name product, renamed. I installed this evaporator coil and an air conditioner & furnace myself with 4 hours of help at the end from an HVAC professional. There were experts, (Chris Whitmore) at HVACdirect.com available to help me through the uncertainties and this was very valuable. I've only tested the heat-pump side of this unit so far but look forward to using the heat pump this upcoming Minnesota winter. Doing the labor myself & buying from HVACdirect.com saved me ~40% on the system & installation cost.
