A well built product, manufactured in Mexico. The only minus was that it came damaged through shipping. Due it's weight the shipping company could have mismanaged it during shipping. The case was bent bottom right side, like a forklift damage, and bottom left corner of the case was smashed like somebody dropped it. I was a bit skeptical if the inside coil survived the damage, so far so good, it holds the pressure.

This was a new install above my guesthouse and I couldn't be happier with the performance of the G96VTN0401712A. Between the guesthouse and sunroom, there is approximately 900 SF, so that gives me about 3000 more BTU's than I need. With the 2-stage system, it should run on low most of the time.
I installed the G96VTN0401712A horizontally in October 2021 and have confidence that it will perform well for years to come. As Stephen stated in his review, the same manufacturers that made this one, make furnaces for Carrier.

I am quite pleased with HVAC Direct, your pricing & speedy delivery. I am replacing 2 HVAC central units that are both 34 years old and the main reason is the cased coils are very corroded. Both units are Carrier “Round Ones” and have performed excellent. I shopped around and found this model was made by the same group (United technologies) as Carrier. Your company has the best price and if it lasts as long as the Carrier unit, I will be very pleased.
