A Goodman "4-ton" 14 SEER was installed in our new house. It cannot keep up with Phoenix summer heat. Specs show it only puts out 3.5 tons. Our experience is that it can only maintain 82° up to 116° ambient. The capacitor has gone out twice in four years. Our previous house has a Trane that was still going after 25 years with no trouble.

I am well satisfied with the product

AC Installers hate Goodman because of the low price. I self installed a Goodman 2 years ago and it is still blowing 47 degree air at the registers.

I'm a DIYer. I saved thousands installing this unit myself, and will save even more because my energy bill is lower. Delivery was on time, and the packaging and pallet kept the unit protected. I contacted customer support 2x during my installation process and they were very helpful. I took my time installing the unit over several months. I live in the Pacific Northwest and have freezing temperatures at night at many times over the past several months. The furnace worked well kicking in and keeping my home nice and warm.

easy to navigate and great options

This unit replaced our original home installed system. It is as you would hope much better at keeping the house more comfortable. Waiting to see how this unit compares in operating cost compared to last years equivalent.
