This coil will directly replace any of the Carrier branded (Bryant, Payne, Day and Night, etc.) N-coils. I removed it from the casing and installed it in an existing coil cabinet. Without any modifications. No sheet metal mods were necessary. Works perfectly after 2 seasons. A lot of the original N-coils using 410 from Carrier failed early on. This product will save you from replacing your system.

If you have mechanical knowledge, you can use yourself plenty of how to videos out there. Don’t pay someone for something you can do.!!

I bought this furnace recently to replace a failing 75K BTU furnace with a cracked heat exchanger. The old furnace put out 100 degree air from the closest vent and I wasn't warm enough. This new model works much better! It is very quiet and puts out 130 degree air even with a reduced input gas pressure. (Before that it got too hot!). The heat exchanger appears to be all metal, as opposed to the old furnace which had plastic on the ends of the secondary heat exchanger (The plastic filed after 15 years and also smelled bad). The new furnace draws 3 amps at fan speed, as opposed to 4 amps for the old furnace. The only problem is that the new furnace blower motor, if it fails, is very expensive and takes a long time to get. If there is a failed motor the furnace will not heat at all, so I bought a spare motor and hope to never use it. The other quibble is that there is no window to view the flame. If the flame is not blue, the soot may ruin the furnace. My heat man says that once set the flame is unlikely to change, but that is a worry. Altogether, the furnace is a fine unit and runs very well. I have had it installed for only about two weeks, so cannot attest to long term performance, but right now it works perfectly. BTW, the guarantee is good ONLY if you have the furnace professionally inspected each year, which costs money

The equipment all fit and I used it all summer in the Virginia heat. People laugh when I say that but we are in the 90's and 80% humidity. Keeping the inside cool and dry is not easy. So far I'm very pleased with the whole experience.

Solid performance

I've been running this evaporator coil in air-conditioning mode for a month now. It performs beautifully both as an air conditioning condenser and a heat pump heat exchanger. It fit perfectly atop my AirQuest furnace with no modifications necessary. Rather than an "A" shaped coil, this is a "W" shaped coil which gives more heat transfer capacity for 4 ton and larger air conditioning units. Along with my AirQuest air conditioner & heat-pump, and the ION System Control thermostat, this combination is good at keeping the house comfortable. Although AirQuest is an unknown brand name to me, I believe it to be a Carrier brand name product, renamed. I installed this evaporator coil and an air conditioner & furnace myself with 4 hours of help at the end from an HVAC professional. There were experts, (Chris Whitmore) at HVACdirect.com available to help me through the uncertainties and this was very valuable. I've only tested the heat-pump side of this unit so far but look forward to using the heat pump this upcoming Minnesota winter. Doing the labor myself & buying from HVACdirect.com saved me ~40% on the system & installation cost.
