I have been using this Mitsubishi unit for few years already. It has been a life saver in summer and frequently on cold damp days in winter. It does save me money in winter compared to oil heat. I use it to about 30 degrees after that the system seems to struggle a bit. Summer time it works great to cool my space.
I have one in the bedroom and had to turn off the rotating sensor because the sound it was making did bother me a bit.
The entire experience of buying on internet was smooth. I do installation myself and just called the guy to vacuum the lines. Much cheaper that way.

Smartest purchase I’ve ever made
Purchase mini split and installed myself. In two years it paid for itself due to no longer being reliant on kerosene. Summer electric bills are half what they were when I had to use window ac units that were inefficient and a pain to heave in place. Only maintenance I’ve had to do is clear pollen from coils and clean dust from filters

Been running great for almost 5 years
I bought this package unit back in 2021. The outdoor unit is heavy, so if you are wall mounting it like I did be sure to have a couple of helpers to lift it. It is quiet and has done well in both 105 degree summers and 10 degree winter temps. It is very energy efficient too so I can't complain there. I have two MSZ-GL units also that I use for my shop and they are great as well. If I had it to do over I would probably just stick with the GL units all around and save some money. I run them from the Comfort app so I have no need to program it from the remote, which is a feature of the MSZ-FH indoor units. But at least I have the flexibility if I need it. Overall my Mitsubishi mini-splits have been very reliable and function well. I did have one "leak" that was caused by a clogged condensate drain line in late 2025. Not sure what ultimately clogged it but a squirt of air from my air compressor, followed by some bleach water to kill any growth and it was draining like new again. So I would recommend preventing cleaning of the drain tubing once a year to prevent that from happening.
HVAC direct was great to work with. I called them directly to discuss the order before making it and they were very helpful to make sure I ordered the correct accessories (part numbers). I would definitely use them again.

Poor Temperature Control
We have had this system for several years. There has been just one failure in that time, the outdoor unit fan, which was covered under warranty. However, the temperature control is horrible. We have attempted all of the various modes and settings that seem to be available, but we consistently have inaccurate temperature control. Often we need to put the setpoint roughly 4 degrees above our desired temperature, but that varies widely. Sometimes the actual temperature is a steady 2 degrees below setpoint; sometimes it is 8 degrees. This is the case for both heating and cooling. It does heat and cool but not accurately enough to say that the space stays comfortable.

Five stars
The unit arrived just fine, and much more quickly than expected. My son installed it (it was purchased for him) and had the finishing touches done by a professional. The pro told him the Mitsubishi was a good unit, better than the ones he sold.
Perhaps one unit will be a bit small for one of the spaces, but will be adequante according to the pro.
We are very happy the way it turned out.

Remote Sizes
I recently purchased the Mitsubishi 20,000 condenser unit and the 15,000 & 6,000 BTU inside units. I can't figure out why the 6,000 BTU unit
has such a gigantic remote control compared to the 15,000 BTU unit. Can someone clue me in on this?
Also, the spec sheet on the website for the 15,000 BTU inside unit says the line connections are 1/4 / 1/2. They are in fact 1/4 / 3/8.

Hvac direct it's a legit company
My fault, my house it's less then 1000 feet ,I thought the unit was big enough but it wasn't.
So I had to add some elettric heater . You know mitsubishi it's the best just get a bigger unit then you think you need if not you are going to be cold .

Good Quality Buy
Bought and self installed during remodel. I heated with gas so winter electric initially increased but now with natural gas up 3.5 times over this past year I will save a lot over gas. Even though winter was higher I decreased the over all electric bill 37.5% at same time the cost / KWH has increased 32%. That is a huge savings.
If your installing understand you have to drain condensation from the inside unit to the outside. Without a remodel this can be problematic. Draining into vent pipes will work but watch out for sewer order that may be in those vent pipes.
If something is not working right this unit will self diagnose the problem. Inside multi split units must all be set the same. ie All must be set to cool or all set to heat or such. If not the unit will lock up. A power reset will be needed at the breaker box.
