Please note: Furnace to coil transitions cannot be used when the furnace is wider than the coil. This configuration can cause improper airflow, leading to pressure imbalances and reduced system efficiency. The furnace and coil must be properly matched to ensure air flows evenly through the coil for optimal heating performance. Always ensure the coil is equal to or wider than the furnace to maintain system efficiency.

Description

The SST2TM System Service Transition solution enables quick, efficient HVAC service with optimal SEER performance and 100% airflow. The removable, insulated access door provides space for contractors to inspect, clean, diagnose, and maintain the evaporator coil and furnace heat exchanger. The SST2TM offers true access to critical system parts without disassembly or cutting.

Will this adapt a 21" furnace to a 17.5" coil?

Furnaces in any system pairing are not allowed to be wider than the coil. They are required to either be the same width or smaller than the coil. Running an HVAC system where the furnace is wider than the coil will cause issues with the static pressure of your ductwork and will ultimately void the warranties of both units.
