- A big jobI replaced a conventional HVAC system with this one. It was not for the faint of heart. I had previously installed a Mr. Cool mini split at work. But, installing a central ducted system was a lot more work. The ducts were already there, but it wasn't an easy swap out of air handler. I had to build a new intake plenum and add additional air return ducts to match the CFM of this unit. The actual part of working with the system was pretty straight forward. My only complaint would be that I wish there was more room to connect the pre-charged lines to the air handler and condenser. The clearances are tight and you barely have room to insulate over the fittings. Service was great, as I had to swap to a longer lineset. Also, the condenser pictured is not the one you'll get with the 36k unit. It is actually 5 feet tall. Check the dimensions before deciding where it'll go...
