Its 1/3 HP cast iron pump delivers up to 44 GPM at 10 feet of total dynamic head, providing high-capacity water removal during normal operation and emergency backup conditions.
When utility power is interrupted, the system automatically switches to auxiliary AC generated from the connected battery, allowing the same sump pump to continue operating. The iON+ Digital Level Control adds automatic pump control, high-water detection, audible alerts, and LED indicators for convenient system monitoring.

Primary and Battery Backup Sump Protection
The iON 30ACi+ combines primary sump pumping and emergency backup in one system. Under normal conditions, the 1/3 HP pump operates using standard 120V AC utility power. When utility power is unavailable, stored battery power is converted to auxiliary 120V AC to keep the pump operating.
The system can also be installed as a dedicated backup alongside a separate primary sump pump, providing an additional layer of protection against pump or power failure.
High-Capacity AC Backup Performance
The 30ACi+ is rated for up to 44 GPM at 10 feet of total dynamic head. Its auxiliary AC configuration allows the standard sump pump to continue operating during an outage rather than relying on a separate DC backup pump.
During normal operation, the pump runs directly from utility power, allowing the connected battery to remain available for backup use.
iON+ Digital Level Control and High-Water Alarm
The included iON+ Switch uses solid-state digital level sensing without moving parts or contact points for automatic pump control. High-water detection, LED indicators, and an audible alarm provide additional monitoring when water levels rise.
Automatic Battery Backup and Charging
The 800 VA inverter/charger converts stored 12V DC battery power into 120V AC power when utility power is unavailable. Once utility power returns, the system automatically recharges the connected battery for future backup operation.
The 30ACi+ requires one 12V deep-cycle AGM battery, sold separately. A Power+ AGM deep-cycle battery is recommended for use with the system.
System Components
The 30ACi+ includes the iON WC33i 1/3 HP cast iron sump pump, iON+ digital level control and high-water alarm, 800 VA inverter/charger, and non-corrosive battery enclosure. The required 12V AGM battery is sold separately.
Pump Sizing and Installation
The 30ACi+ is rated for up to 44 GPM at 10 feet of total dynamic head. Actual pumping performance will vary based on total system head, discharge piping, fittings, and installation conditions.
A minimum basin size of 18 inches in diameter by 24 inches deep is recommended. Verify the required basin dimensions, discharge piping, electrical supply, battery specifications, and applicable local plumbing and electrical codes before installation.
