High-Capacity Sump Protection with Automatic AC Battery Backup
The iON 35ACi+ is an integrated sump pump and battery backup system designed to provide reliable residential water-removal protection during normal operation and power outages. Its 1/3 HP stainless steel and cast iron BA33i pump delivers up to 53 GPM at 10 feet of total dynamic head.
During normal conditions, the system operates from standard 120V AC utility power. When utility power is unavailable, the 800 VA inverter automatically converts power from a connected 12-volt AGM battery into auxiliary 120V AC power, allowing the same sump pump to continue operating during an outage.

Primary and Backup Sump Protection
The 35ACi+ combines everyday sump pumping with automatic battery backup in one system. During normal operation, the BA33i pump runs from standard household AC power and can serve as a primary sump pump.
The system can also be installed as a dedicated secondary pump alongside a separate primary pump, providing additional protection against pump failure or power loss.
High-Capacity AC Backup Performance
When utility power is lost, the 800 VA inverter converts stored 12V battery power into 120V AC power for the sump pump. This allows the BA33i to continue operating using auxiliary AC power during an outage.
During normal utility operation, the system bypasses battery power and runs directly from household AC power. When utility power is restored, the inverter/charger automatically recharges the connected battery.
The system requires one 12-volt deep-cycle AGM battery, which is sold separately.
iON+ Level Control and High-Water Alarm
The iON+ Switch uses solid-state level sensing without moving parts or contact points for automatic pump control. Integrated multi-color LED indicators provide system status information, while the audible alarm alerts users when a high-water condition is detected.
The system also includes dry contacts with an RJ11 connection for integration with a compatible external monitoring device.
