Reliable Home Protection With Dual Pump System
Maintain sump protection with the iON 55ACi Deluxe, a dual-pump system that combines primary pumping with automatic battery backup. Two 1/2 HP sump pumps alternate during normal operation, while the dual-pump configuration provides continued pumping capability if one pump becomes inoperable.
The system provides up to 65 GPM at 10 feet of total dynamic head. When utility power is unavailable, the system converts stored battery power to 120V AC for continued pump operation.
Battery Requirement: Two 12V deep-cycle AGM batteries are required for backup operation. Batteries are NOT included and must be purchased separately.

Dual Pump Operation
The system includes two identical 1/2 HP Ion BA50i sump pumps with stainless steel housings and cast iron bases. The pumps alternate each cycle during normal operation, distributing operation between the two pumps.
Each pump features a high-efficiency motor with thermal overload protection.
Ion Genesis Smart-Sensing Controller
The Ion Genesis is a programmable controller with solid-state level sensing. It operates and alternates the pumps without moving parts or contact points.
A secondary sensor provides high-water detection and emergency level control. The controller also supports alarms for high water, excessive run time, power loss, and pump failure.
LED indicators display pump, power, and alarm status, while the LCD screen provides equipment data and alarm notifications. The controller also includes plug-and-play pump outlets, an Ion Digital Level Sensor, an Ion Digital High Water Sensor, a remote alarm contact, and a silence/reset function.
Battery Backup System
When utility power is available, the system operates from 120V AC. During a power outage, the inverter converts stored battery power to 120V AC for the pump.
The inverter automatically charges the batteries when the main power supply is restored and bypasses the battery when the pumps are operating from available utility power.
Two 12V deep-cycle AGM batteries are required for backup operation and are NOT included. Two 12V Power+ AGM batteries supply DC power to the system inverter.

Pump Sizing and Installation
The 55ACi Deluxe is rated for up to 65 GPM at 10 feet of total dynamic head. Actual pumping performance will vary depending on total system head, discharge piping, fittings, and installation conditions.
A minimum basin size of 18 inches in diameter by 24 inches deep is recommended. The system requires two 12V deep-cycle AGM batteries for backup operation. Always verify basin dimensions, discharge piping, electrical supply, battery specifications, and applicable plumbing and electrical codes before installation.
