OVERVIEW

The Amana K Series Model PTAC air conditioner comes equipped with an electric heater, allowing you to stay warm all year round. Its compact size makes it perfect for small living areas, and it features Bluetooth and RF connectivity that can be accessed via the Amana brand mobile app, enabling you to use the Eden Energy Management System to modify settings and timing. This unit provides 14,800 BTUs of heating and cooling, requires 208-230V of power at 30 amps, and needs a NEMA 6-30P receptacle to power the unit and the included 5.0kw electric heater. Amana's PTACs use the environmentally friendly R-410a refrigerant. You can find the Wall Sleeve and exterior grille under the Accessories section. With a 10.0 EER rating, Amana's unit is an excellent choice for new construction or as a replacement for an existing unit

What type of receptical does it need?

PTACs all have different style plugs based on voltage needs. So, in order to answer the question about what kind of plug receptacle you need, we need to know more about your voltage: 115 or 230? Would it be good to heat a 1000sq basement?

Please refer to our Sizing Guide to help you find the right size unit for your home. Depending on where you live and placement of the unit will help determine how many square feet this will heat. Does this come with the wall sleeve & grill, or do I need to order these separately for a new installation?

This does not come with the wall sleeve or grill and will need to be ordered separately. Please refer to the "Accessories" located on the product page where you can find these compatible items. Will this unit work with a 20 Amp breaker?

This PTAC will not work with a 20 Amp breaker. It needs at least a minimum ampacity of 27.5 Amps while running. A breaker size of 30 Amps or more is required. If you have any further questions, please call us and we will be happy to assist you.
