Austin Air HealthMate Jr. Machine - Sandstone

The Austin Air HealthMate Jr. in Sandstone brings the same filtration approach as the full-size HealthMate down to a cabinet that fits beside a nightstand or under a desk. It covers up to 700 sq. ft. at two air changes per hour, or about 300 sq. ft. at four changes per hour, which suits bedrooms, nurseries, home offices, dorm rooms, and apartments.

Air enters through 360-degree intake grilles on all four sides of the steel cabinet, then passes through a large particle pre-filter, a medium particle pre-filter, over 6.5 lbs. of activated carbon and zeolite, and 30 sq. ft. of true medical grade HEPA. The HEPA handles dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and smoke particles. The carbon and zeolite handle the odors, gases, and chemical vapors that pass straight through a HEPA-only filter.

A manual 3-speed dial delivers 50, 100, or 200 CFM. At 18 lbs. the unit moves between rooms easily, and the filter pack is rated for up to five years of normal residential use. Assembled in Buffalo, New York.
