Austin Air Standard Bedroom Machine - White

The Austin Air Bedroom Machine in White is the most complete filter Austin Air builds, designed for sleepers dealing with allergies, asthma, or chemical and odor sensitivity. Low speed measures 39.8 dB, so the unit can run through the night without waking anyone. It covers up to 1,500 sq. ft. at two air changes per hour, or about 700 sq. ft. at four changes per hour.

The 360-degree intake pulls air through perforated grilles on every side of the cabinet and into five stages. Stage one is a large particle pre-filter for dust, hair, and pet dander. Stage two handles pollen, mold, and spores. Stage three is 15 lbs. of activated carbon and zeolite for gases and odors. Stage four is 60 sq. ft. of true medical grade HEPA. Stage five is a HEGA carbon cloth, a woven carbon material developed by the British military that adds a second round of gas and chemical adsorption.

The Bedroom Machine was designed with the National Sleep Foundation and used in a Johns Hopkins School of Public Health study on asthma and bedroom air quality. A 3-speed dial delivers 75, 200, or 400 CFM. Casters are standard, filter changes are handled through the removable bottom plate, and the filter pack is built for up to five years of normal residential use. Assembled in Buffalo, New York.
