The HealthMate covers everyday air quality, which is why it's the model most people start with. Dust, pet dander, pollen and mold spores get taken out by the two pre-filters and 60 sq. ft. of medical grade HEPA, which removes 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns and 99% at 0.1 microns. More than 780 cubic inches of activated carbon and zeolite sits behind it, adsorbing cooking odors, smoke, cleaning product fumes and other common household chemicals and gases.
Standard size filters are interchangeable across the standard size lineup, so your unit isn't locked into one job. If your priorities shift toward allergies, pets, chemicals or sleep, you can put the matching filter in the same machine later. Plan on up to five years of use in a typical home before replacement.
