Austin Air Jr. Pre-Filter - Black (F200A)

Replacement large particle pre-filter for junior size Austin Air purifiers, in black. This is the outer wrap on your main filter, and it takes the first hit from the air, holding back dust, hair, pet dander and anything else over about 10 microns.

Austin Air main filters are rated for up to five years, and the pre-filter is what makes that possible. Once it fills up, airflow drops and the heavy debris starts loading the HEPA media instead, which shortens the life of a much more expensive part. Changing it roughly once a year keeps the unit breathing properly. Pets, high dust levels or a bad pollen season will move that interval up.

Works with every junior size Austin Air purifier, including the HealthMate® Junior, HealthMate Plus® Junior, Allergy Machine® Junior and Baby's Breath®. No tools required, it wraps on in about a minute. Black is the usual pairing for black and midnight blue units.

Not sure of your size? Check the label on the underside of your unit. Junior models are labeled HM2, like HM200, and junior pre-filters measure 11.5 inches high against 14.5 inches for standard.
