Austin Air Jr. Pre-Filter - White (F200B)

Replacement large particle pre-filter for junior size Austin Air purifiers, in white. It wraps around the outside of the main filter and handles the first pass, catching dust, hair, pet dander and other debris over roughly 10 microns.

Junior units move air through a smaller filter, so keeping the pre-filter clean matters. The main filter is built to last up to five years, and it only gets there if the heavy debris stops at the outer layer. A loaded pre-filter restricts airflow and shifts that work onto the HEPA media, which is why Austin Air recommends changing it about once a year. Homes with pets, heavy dust or rough pollen seasons will want to swap it sooner.
