The Berner Commercial High Performance 10 Air Curtain is designed for commercial service entries and main entrances where environmental separation and flying insect control are important. Recommended for mounting heights up to 10 feet for environmental separation and 8 feet for insect control, the CHD10 creates a controlled air stream across open doorways to help separate interior and exterior environments while allowing convenient access through the opening. Its high-performance design is well suited for service entries, employee doors, main entrances, and other commercial openings.

The CHD10 is available in ambient, unheated configurations and electric-heated models, with single lengths from 3 to 10 feet and one-, two-, or three-motor configurations depending on the model. Ambient and electric-heated models use 1/2 hp three-speed motor(s). Ambient models include a factory-installed fan speed switch, while electric-heated models include a factory-installed fan speed/heat switch. The series features a 14-inch-high by 15-inch-deep cabinet and supports wall and top mounting. White or black aluminum exterior covers are standard, with stainless steel and custom-color options available.

Safety Features

• Secure Mounting Options – Designed for wall or suspended top mounting, with 1/4-inch keyhole mounting slots for wall mounting and 1/4-inch threaded inserts for suspended mounting.
• Accessible Service Components – A minimum of 4 inches of clearance is required above the air curtain for installation and removal of the inlet screen and access to the electrical compartment.
• Indoor Use – The CHD10 air curtain is UL Listed for indoor mounting only and shall be mounted on the inside of the building.
• Secure Installation – Mounting hardware must be capable of supporting a minimum of three times the net weight of the air curtain.
• Electrical Safety – Installation and electrical connections must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with applicable electrical codes, and a disconnect switch is required for each branch circuit.

Warranty Information

Berner International warrants unheated CHD10 models for 5 years and heated models for 2 years from the original date of shipment, covering defects in workmanship and material, provided the equipment has been properly cared for, installed, and operated in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the limits specified on the nameplate.
