Who makes Perfect Aire?
Perfect Aire is a subsidiary of Carrier, and is part of a family of brands that include Bryant, Payne, Arcoaire, Comfortmaker, Heil and other brands. The products made by most of these subsidiary brands are identical except for the nameplate and a few cosmetic touches.
How big of a mini split do I need?
For most homes, a good rule of thumb would be 30-60 BTUs per square foot. Factors that force the number up include geographic location, high ceilings, insulation, large windows and open spaces. You should make sure each air handler can cover its assigned zone, and you should make sure the condenser unit can handle the sum total of all air handlers’ BTUs, albeit with a slight under-rating. This under-rating allows the unit to operate more efficiently and ensure that the run time is sufficient to provide dehumidification.
Are mini splits expensive to run?
Mini splits are marvels of energy efficiency, using less electricity than conventional systems, which lose a lot of energy through ductwork.
