The Canarm Tri-Lite Direct Drive HVLS Fans deliver efficient, low-speed air circulation across vast industrial and commercial spaces. Driven by a quiet, IP65-rated ECM motor with onboard VFD, it quietly moves large air volumes at low RPMs, providing comfort for areas up to 160 feet in diameter.
Tri‑Lite HVLS fans improve energy efficiency in winter by reducing hot and cold spots in large spaces. By correcting temperature differences of up to 15°C from ceiling to floor, these fans help your heating system run less frequently, cutting energy costs and maintaining consistent indoor comfort.

What's Included
Each Canarm Tri-Lite Direct Drive HVLS Fan package includes an extension bar, mounting assembly, and VFD enclosure kit for a complete fan installation setup.
Safety Features
- Redundant Safety Features – Canarm fans are designed with redundant safety features to provide protection in the unlikely event of a catastrophic failure.
- Safety Cable Included – Each fan includes a 5-foot safety cable that serves as a redundant safety feature to secure the fan to the mounting structure. The safety cable must be properly installed for the warranty to remain in effect.
- 4-Point Safety Cables – Four 15-foot guy wires provide additional redundant support to help secure the fan to the mounting structure and help control fan movement during operation.
- Proper Fan Clearance – The area within 15% of the fan's diameter when the fan is at rest is considered close clearance and is extremely dangerous. Canarm strongly recommends not mounting the fan closer than 15% of its diameter to any object or its path.
- Safe Sprinkler Placement – When installed in areas with fire sprinklers, the fan must not interfere with their proper operation. The fan should be positioned in the center of each sprinkler quadrant and at least 3 feet below the sprinkler.
- Shielded Motor Cable Recommendation – To help minimize electromagnetic interference and stray voltage, Canarm recommends using shielded input voltage cable. The shielded motor cable and controller cable must be run in separate conduits at least 6 inches apart.
- Qualified Electrical Installation – Installation and electrical wiring must be performed by qualified personnel and comply with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70-1999, and all applicable local codes.
- Power-Off Installation – Power must be switched off at the service panel and the service disconnect must be locked out to prevent accidental energization before installation, servicing, or cleaning.
- Unguarded Blades – The fan has an unguarded impeller and should not be installed in locations readily accessible to people or animals. The fan blades must be installed at least 10 feet above the floor.
Warranty Information
CANARM Ltd. provides a 1-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, CANARM Ltd. may, at its option, repair or replace any unit or part returned freight prepaid and found to be defective.
The warranty applies only to the original purchaser-user. It does not cover labor or transportation costs associated with removing or reinstalling the unit. Warranty coverage is void in cases of alteration, accident, abuse, neglect, or operation contrary to the provided instructions. Repaired or replaced components are covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period.

The Tri-Lite Direct Drive HVLS Fan series is engineered to excel in large-volume commercial and industrial spaces, delivering powerful airflow with minimal maintenance. Each unit is built upon a rigid ultra-heavy-gauge steel and anodized-aluminum chassis that resists corrosion, moisture, and load stresses across years of continuous operation. The signature airfoil blades are extruded from E420-grade anodized aluminum and shaped with optimized wing-tip geometry (including use of nylon-66 wingtip fences) to push air downward with maximum efficiency. These blades are statically and dynamically balanced to reduce vibration and noise while maintaining smooth performance. The direct-drive EC motor is IP65- or better-rated, factory-mounted with a built-in VFD (variable-frequency drive) gearless drive design that eliminates belts and pulleys, thereby extending service life.
